Here I’ve noted my five favorite summer trends and links to shop them. I’ve also attached similar styles just in case they sell out. So whether you’re looking to stock up on trendy favorites or just want to shake up your wardrobe, I’ve got you covered. Message me on @restandriesling if you have any questions and tag me when you shop to be featured on my page!
1. Platform Shoes
Note: I’ve never worn these before this summer and it kinda feels like you’re walking with cinderblocks on your feet! Not that their heavy, they just don’t have an angle and it took me a while to get use to it. Whatever cinderblock shoes, I’m here for it!
2. Hair Accessories
I’m talking barrettes, hair scarfs, & studded bobby pins. I didn’t jump on board with this one right at first but I’m all for it now and it’s here for the summer. So my advise for this trend is the more colorful and eye catching the better. Yess you can break out your bedazzler, it’s time to get crafty. Big thanks to my pals Piper for letting me use her pic here because I haven’t shot this look yet myself and well, she killed it.
3. Wide Leg Pants
Ooooh, probably my favorite trend for the summer. Remember gaucho’s? I know you know what I’m talking about… those hideous stretchy cotton pants that people wore in the early 2000’s?? Well, there back. But better and more sophisticated, and this time called “wide leg pants”. AND THANKFULLY, you can find them in other materials except cotton and cotton/spandex blends. Anyway, this summer you NEED a pair of wide leg pants.
4. Colorful Clutches & Cuffs & Rings
So lets say you’re not feeling the whole wide leg pant and hair tie trend, but you’d like to add some color to your all white summer fits.. Try a colorful clutch or cuff to bring some brightness and color to your wardrobe. If you’re into minimalist jewels then try my favorite rings from @shopthe6o9. Either way, it’s summer time and you have to do something to add pops of color to your style!
5. Onc Piece Swimmies
Woooooo! This trend has really blown up this past year and I’m so happy companies are making more one piece styles and colors! I’ve had the best luck with Shein.com and I just had to share this trend because it’s prob my favorite. Ugh, I just love swimsuits & I’m so happy the season for them is here again. Jk I live in Florida and it’s always swimsuit season. :’)
